30 OCTOBER 2020 - Safety Protocol Reminder
As the winter months approach, the second wave of COVID19 is here. Additionally, this is the time of year for family gatherings and sharing holiday greetings with friends and co-workers. It is important that we continue to follow all the safety precautions that have been put in place for everyone’s protection at CompoSecure.
- MASKS & FACE COVERINGS: Wearing a mask or face covering while you are in the facilities is not optional. You are also expected to properly wear a face covering. This means it must cover both your nose and mouth at all times. We recommend to wear a mask or face covering not only at work but outside of the workplace as well. These coverings are to help prevent the spread of COVID19.
- CONTACT TRACING: We implemented a Contact Tracing policy in July. Every employee is expected to follow this policy, this means wearing your tracing device at all times when in the building, and scanning the device at the beginning and end of your shift. Terminals are at each time clock and there are free standing terminals for the ease and convenience to scan the device. If scanning your device results in a yellow screen, please notify your supervisor or Security immediately. This means there is something wrong with the device and might not be recording data.
As a reminder, this tracing device does not track your location in the building, it only identifies employees that you may have been in close contact with should an employee develop symptoms of COVID-19. - SOCIAL DISTANCING: Face coverings and contact tracing does not mean that we should not continue other social distancing measures. Keeping your distance further reduces the risk of coming into contact with someone who might be infected. We must remain 6 feet apart from each other while at work, travel and at home.
- TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS: The governor of NJ continues to enforce an incoming travel advisory. If you have travel plans outside of NJ to an impacted state or to another country , upon return to NJ, you are required to self-quarantine for 14 days before you may return to work. You need to notify HR of your travel plans in order for us to provide information to you for the quarantine period.
We also expect you to take precautions when you have visitors coming from impacted states and/or countries. Anyone can carry and spread the virus without showing any symptoms.
It is very easy to fall into “COVID fatigue.” We cannot express enough the importance to stay vigilant in reducing the risk to the health and safety of our employees and their families. We put these policies in place to ensure you are in a safe place to work. If you or your family develop flu like symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive, please contact your medical provider and stay at home. We do ask that you contact HR so that they may provide you with the necessary steps during your absence.
We thank you for all your efforts to keep both work and home a safe environment.
Stay Well and Be Safe
